Open Auditions for The Goat or, Who is Sylvia?

Announcing open auditions for our upcoming production of Edward Albee's The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? to be held at the Arsenal Center for the Arts September 14th & 15th.

Love has the power to both create and destroy, but what does it mean to love? To be in love? Where does one draw the line between love and lust? Edward Albee's The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? reflects on romance, fidelity, infatuation, and devotion to create a dark twisted masterpiece

Martin is a successful architect, with an ostensibly ideal life, who has begun an affair that will destroy his life and the lives of his wife (Stevie) and son (Billy). Martin has had the unfortunate luck of falling in love with a goat, and his admission of this romance to his best friend (Ross) leads them all down a path from which there is no turning back.

Flat Earth Theatre seeks non-union actors for the following parts:

  • Martin (Male, 40s-50s) An educated, successful, quick-witted (but distracted) semanticist.
  • Stevie (Female, 40s-50s) Educated, poised, elegant, and very in control or herself and her emotions but still warm and kind.
  • Billy (Male, late teens-20s) A gay young man who realizes how fortunate he is to have been raised in a wealthy, liberal, accepting household.
  • Ross (Male, 40s-50s) Educated, intelligent, impatient, and sharp.
